Help my sister who lost her job from Covid19
Donation protected
My sister, Linda, has been the store manager of futurgarb in Wicker Park Chicago for 20 years. Due to Covid19, the store has closed.
My sister worked 6 days a week for 20 years and rarely took a vacation because she loved her job so much and loved Wicker Park. She built and cherished relationships with loyal local customers. She became the face of Wicker Park as she work tirelessly to server the community. She loved meeting tourists from all over the world and helping them explore and experience all the unique things in the store. It was more than a job, it was a passion.
Not only was she a store manager but she has a deep love for animals, especially cats. I'm sure you might of met (the famous) Hazzards (orange tabby) or Augustus over the years in our store. She not only took care of 2 cats in the store but everyday she goes home and feeds homeless cats in the neighborhood. Spending her hard earned money on feeding cats and providing them with houses behind the apartment she rents. Linda, has provided shelter to pregnant cats to give birth, and then found homes for them by reaching out through futurgarb's facebook profile. She works with no-kill cat shelters to trap wild cats to help find them a home.
Linda has given to so much to Wicker Park over the years, perhaps it's time we give back to such a thankless, giving person. She's given our community, the city of Chicago and so many of us, so much. But now, she needs your help. I'm her brother, she doesn't know I'm doing this, but I'm reaching out to all of you that have shopped at futurgarb in Wicker Park, and all of you that are more fortunate to help my sister. As I'm buying her groceries and doing all I can during this time.
I hope you can show your LOVE for her 20 YEARS OF DEDICATION TO WICKER PARK Chicago. Help her continue to feed these homeless cats and care for them. Help her pay her rent for the next couple months. And, help her move onto the next phase of her life. Lastly, help lift the burden of her rent for 3 months as she finds her next journey in life.
Thank you in advance for donating.
