Help My Sister Win Her Battle Against Aggressive Blood Cancer

On October 9th, 2024, what began as a routine blood test changed my sister Preeti’s life forever.

My name is Priya Harkare, and I’m reaching out to share the story of my incredible sister, Preeti Harkare, who is fighting the toughest battle of her life. At just 40 years old, she has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), an aggressive form of cancer that has turned our world upside down.

A Life-Changing Diagnosis

The diagnosis of AML was devastating for our entire family specially when it came to my Mum’s first child – her most loving and naughty daughter Preeti who she lovingly calls “Harkare Monster”. But my sister, with her happy-go-lucky spirit, refused to let cancer dim her light. She is fighting this battle with immense courage, undergoing aggressive chemotherapy while managing to keep a smile on her face.

A Long Road Ahead

While she is showing promising signs of recovery, the fight is far from over. To ensure her complete healing, she needs to undergo a life-saving bone marrow transplant. This critical procedure is her best hope for beating this disease, but the costs are overwhelming.

The Financial Burden

Between aggressive chemotherapy, hospital stays, and now the urgent transplant, the expenses have far exceeded what we can manage. As a family, we are doing everything we can, but we need your help to give her the best possible chance at recovery.
