My sister Stephanie was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She lives in Austin, Texas with her two teenagers - Theo and Georgia.

 

Stephanie is about to embark on a challenging journey of treatment and no one in her family lives close by. Myself, my mother, and our sister Jessica will be making several trips from California and Oklahoma over the next 5-6 months to stay as close by as possible (there's not enough room in Steph's house to be able to stay there.) We want to be there to provide emotional support and help with all the tasks that come with facing a serious health issue while raising two kids - meals, rides, cleaning, pet care, errands, activities for the kids, etc.

 

Money raised will be used to help pay for unexpected medical expenses, such as medications not covered by insurance, along with family travel and lodging back and forth to Texas, meal delivery as needed during chemo, and household expenses such as cleaning and pet care. Any amount you can give is deeply appreciated.

Stephanie is the middle child - smart and sharp, funny and goofy, artistic and intuitive, moody and stylish. Shortly before this diagnosis she had started a new job at Meals on Wheels in Austin and found a cozy home to rent for her and the kids. She is facing this major loop thrown at her with all the human reactions any of us would share.
