Hi All,
Recently, my sister’s 14-year-old dog, Cosmo, was rushed to the hospital. After two blood infusions and an ultrasound, it was found that Cosmo has two large masses on her spleen. After talking with surgeons, my sister, Sam, made the decision to elect surgery and remove Cosmo’s spleen. After countless nights at the hospital, Cosmo had the surgery and now we pray that the masses on her spleen are benign, not malignant.
I have loved dogs my entire life, but Cosmo (after having two family dogs growing up) was the first dog I truly loved as my own. When she stayed with me for a long time as my sister moved to California, she changed my life—and when my sister brought her to California, I wasted no time in trying to replicate her and rescuing my own dog, Shea.
If anyone has ever met Cosmo, you instantly fell in love with her. She was the life of the party, among so many great other things. She saved my sister’s life plus mine and now we pray we can save hers.
As my sister does not have animal medical insurance for the surgery, and for the cost of the days and nights at the hospital, I ask if you have any money to spare and can make a donation, you would be doing such a wonderful thing.
Medical expenses for animals without insurance are outrageous. Any donation would go a long way.
Regardless, we pray for Cosmo and thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Casey
