Hi, my name is Yasmin, I’m making this on behalf of my sister for my nephew.

Since the age of 2, my nephew has been battling problems with his kidneys. The doctors kept brushing it off until my sister did research and had them test him for Nephrotic Syndrome, and it came back positive! Fast forward, my nephew recently turned 14. While most kids grow out of Nephrotic Syndrome, his case, unfortunately, has progressively gotten worse. There are no children's doctors who specialize in what he has — The closest is a couple of hours away. However, there is a children’s hospital who specialize SPECIFICALLY in cases like my nephews in Texas. My sister is willing to relocate her family in order to have better care for my nephew.

I have seen my sister be so strong through everything. I am incredibly emotional writing this; thinking about how my nephew often swells up, the frequent hospital visits and stays, and how scary this all must be for him at such a young age! My heart hurts for him, my sister, and his siblings. The doctors recently began speaking of starting dialysis soon, and needing a kidney transplant in the NEAR future (hopefully we can put that off as long as possible). My nephew often feels ill as the result of Chemo and Bloodwork. He has also missed a lot of school because of this. And when he does go to school, he's usually embarrassed, and keeps a face mask on to hide his swelling. He is on several medications and hasn’t gotten to have a real childhood. He has been so strong through it all, but I want my nephew to be around forever! We simply can’t lose him.. That's my little baby! I want him to have the best care possible and for my sister to be able to relax a little knowing he has proper care. He is the sweetest kid and also a mamas boy. ❤️ There’s nothing he loves more than his mama!
