Help Augusta Recover Her Smile and Health

Augusta, my younger sister, is one of the most kind, sweet, and hardworking people I know.

She recently moved to Barcelona full of hope and determination, chasing her dreams in a new country. But March 22nd took an unexpected turn.

While riding her bike through the city, Augusta had to suddenly swerve to avoid an elderly man who stepped into her path. In an effort to protect him, she lost control and fell from a bridge. The fall was serious. She was rushed to the hospital with a fractured wrist, severe bruising, and - most heartbreakingly - she lost one of her front teeth.

Since then, Augusta has had surgery to remove the broken tooth fragments and is currently wearing a temporary Maryland bridge. But this is only a short-term fix. She needs a dental implant to truly restore her smile - an essential step for her physical and emotional recovery. The dental procedure alone will cost around almost €3,000.

Since the accident, she has already spent the savings she and her partner had set aside to build their lives - covering medical bills, medications, special transportation, and lost income from the many days he’s missed work to care for her throughout this ordeal.

Adding to the burden, Augusta lost her job just a month after the accident, making it impossible for her to cover the cost of treatment. She also needs €1,000 to cover this year’s health insurance - an essential expense to continue her rehabilitation for the fractured wrist.

In the midst of all this, Augusta has shown incredible resilience. She’s resumed her studies and has been actively applying to new jobs, eager to return to the workforce as soon as she’s hired. She’s looking ahead with hope—building a life with her partner, creating a home, and one day starting the family she’s dreamed of.

Right now, she just needs a bit of support to move forward. Every donation—no matter the size—will help cover the cost of her dental implant, rehabilitation, and essential health insurance, and will also help her support herself over the next couple of months while she actively applies for new jobs. It’s a bridge to help her regain her well-being, confidence, and stability.

Ayuda a Augusta a recuperar su sonrisa y su salud

Augusta, mi hermana pequeña, es una de las personas más amables, dulces y trabajadoras que conozco.

Hace poco se mudó a Barcelona llena de esperanza y determinación, persiguiendo sus sueños en un nuevo país. Pero el 22 de marzo dio un giro inesperado.

Mientras circulaba en bici por la ciudad, Augusta tuvo que esquivar a un anciano que se cruzó en su camino. En un esfuerzo por protegerlo, perdió el control y cayó desde un puente. La caída fue grave. La llevaron de urgencia al hospital con una fractura de muñeca, contusiones graves y, lo más desgarrador, la pérdida de uno de sus dientes frontales.

Desde entonces, Augusta ha sido operada para extraerle los fragmentos rotos y lleva un puente provisional-Maryland. Pero esto es sólo una solución a corto plazo. Necesita un implante dental para recuperar realmente su sonrisa, un paso esencial para su recuperación física y emocional. Sólo el procedimiento dental le costará unos 3.000 euros.

Desde el accidente, ya se ha gastado los ahorros que ella y su pareja habían reservado para construir sus vidas: facturas médicas, medicamentos, transporte especial e ingresos perdidos por los muchos días que él ha faltado al trabajo para cuidarla durante esta terrible experiencia.

Para colmo de males, Augusta perdió su trabajo apenas un mes después del accidente, lo que le impide costear los gastos del tratamiento. También necesita cubrir el seguro médico de este año, un gasto esencial para continuar su rehabilitación por la fractura de muñeca que rodea los 1.000 euros.

En medio de todo esto, Augusta ha demostrado una increíble capacidad de recuperación. Ha reanudado sus estudios y ha estado solicitando activamente nuevos puestos de trabajo, deseosa de volver al mundo laboral en cuanto la contraten. Mira al futuro con esperanza de construir una vida con su pareja, crear un hogar y, algún día, formar la familia con la que sueña.

Ahora sólo necesita un poco de apoyo para seguir adelante. Cada donación —sin importar el monto— ayudará a cubrir el costo del implante dental, la rehabilitación y el seguro médico esencial, y también le permitirá mantenerse durante los próximos meses mientras busca activamente un nuevo trabajo.
