My sister Rachel and her husband made the selfless decision to move from San Diego to Vermont to help care for our elderly parents. They packed up their lives, loaded their car and old camper with as much as they could, and set out on a cross-country journey with their dog and cat. Downsizing was tough, and now their camper is so full they can barely move around inside.

After just one day on the road, they were already in need of auto maintenance.

As of day 3, they're still in San Diego. Their camper got a flat late last night and the car stalled (an issue they were told was resolved). Today they are spending another day in a San Diego parking lot, waiting for a new alternator, battery, and serpentine belt. All of which will cost at least $1500. Plus they had to get a tow truck last night, plus a mobile service call for the camper yesterday. Plus losing paid-for camping reservations and adding in hotel reservations.

I'm trying to raise funds to help with the repairs, hotels, and other related expenses. It would be great if they could also ship most of their things and travel with just what they need.
