My sister is a single mom with four wonderful kids, and right now, they’re facing an incredibly difficult time. She has no family nearby in Nebraska, and after experiencing abuse from her husband—including a terrifying moment when he pointed a gun at her in front of their son—she knows she needs to get her children to safety. Her son, who bravely stood up to protect his mom, is now struggling with PTSD and mental health challenges. With everything going on, my sister also lost her job, making it even harder for her to find a way out.

She’s hoping to move to Oregon, where family can support her and the kids as they start over. The funds raised will go directly toward moving expenses, securing safe housing, and helping her search for a new job so she can rebuild her life. Every bit of support will help her and her children get closer to the safety and stability they deserve.

UPDATE - She now has until June to move out. Her landlord has health issues and needs her family to take care of her. Therefore the landlord is having to evict my sister after living there for 7 years.
