Kristin was in Phoenix, Arizona on hospital with 6% heart failure. They had exhausted all their resources and sent her to hospice. She left against medical advice because she does not want to die in a hospital. I, Steven, her brother, drove to Phoenix to pick her up and find her help. We ended up at St Joseph’s Hospital in Denver, Co. since we have been here, they have been able to get her heart up to 16% heart function, got 40 lbs of fluid off and have started heart failure meds. Unfortunately Kristin is not eligible for a heart transplant or hospice yet. Her body is not responding to the failure meds well and are crashing her BP. Last night it dropped so low they had to give her adrenaline to keep her heart pumping. Today we learned her tricuspid valve is shot, for lack of better term, and her heart is pumping blood 2 directions. The hospital is looking to release her within a couple of days and I’m just trying to find a place where she can spend her last days in comfort. She doesn’t have any body else. I’ve exhausted all the resources I can. Any help, even if it’s prayers… would be greatly appreciated.
