To Help my Sister & Her Husband - House Burned
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Peggy Crump. Do you sometimes feel that your home contains everything about you, especially if you have lived there for over 40 years? I know my sister Jan and her husband Bill Enos did, but they lost their home and everything in it this past Sunday, 01/16/2022, due to a house fire. If it didn't burn to a crisp or melt & ooze down onto something else, then everything else in the house is covered in black, smelly fire smoke soot. This soot permeated every crevice and every fiber of all their clothes, furniture, pictures and kitchen wares, absolutely everything!! Plus, the ceiling crashed down in half of the house due to the weight of the water-soaked attic insulation, which was caused by all the water sprayed into the attic from the fire hoses. Now add this smoky, wet, nasty insulation on top of everything in this disaster. Hardly anything will be salvageable!!
Along with the contents of the house, Jan lost everything to continue with her commercial sewing business, as she sews for Interior Designers. She also is a Quilter, and all of her quilting fabric libraries have been destroyed. Any quilter knows how extensive and essential this library can be.
I am thankful Bill was not home, as he had just started a bicycle ride with me, so he didn’t lose his Fuji E-Bike, but the battery charger to keep the bike and Bill peddling, along with Jan’s E-Bike, is covered in all that attic sooty muck,
Jan was in the house and thankfully made it out of the house with their dog. Regrettably, their two cats did not survive. One precious fur baby passed in the home and another two days later, while in intensive care at the Vet.
These are the reasons I have started this Fund Raiser to help them rebuild their lives. Any donation you could provide will be so gratefully accepted. Thank you with all our Hearts, and may God Bless You.
