Help My Sister Fabiola Fight Brain Cancer
Donation protected
We are seeking your support for my dear sister, Fabiola Sanon (“Faby”).
Faby is 33 years old and was first diagnosed with glioma, a type of brain cancer, in April of this year. The cancer has greatly impacted her life- she has limited mobility on her right side, including her right hand and leg. At present she is unable to walk without assistance. She has also experienced memory loss, confusion and significant nerve pain.
As many of you know, Faby is a nurse and single mom of her 7-year old son Gabe. She is known as a hardworking and supportive colleague, a genuine friend, loving sister and aunt and wonderful mother who always puts her son first.
Faby has a huge heart and is always helping others whether at work with her patients or friends and family members. This is evident through her work as a registered nurse at Franklin Hospital and the tremendous sacrifices she makes for her son Gabe. At times, she has worked up to three jobs to ensure that Gabe is well taken care of and has access to a good education and meaningful extracurricular activities.
Since April, Faby has undergone radiation and chemotherapy treatments, including a clinical chemotherapy trial. The good news is that the treatments have stabilized the tumor and we have seen improvements in Faby’s gait, her speech and memory. Currently, she is continuing with the clinical trial and receives both ongoing physical and occupational therapy. As a result of the cancer and these treatments, Faby has been unable to work for the past 8 months. Faby is the primary caregiver for her son and as you can imagine this illness has caused significant financial strain on her ability to support herself and her son.
The goal is to try to raise enough money to offset her lack of income during this very challenging time. It is our hope that the money raised will assist with the costs of Faby’s treatments, travel to treatments and everyday necessities such as food and housing. As many of you all know Faby is a fighter and is willing to do whatever it takes to beat this cancer! Thus far, she has been going through the treatments and enduring the pain with her faith in God, candor and a lot of humor.
We would appreciate any help you can provide. If you are unable to donate, please help us by sharing Faby’s story with others.
Thank you all for your ongoing support, prayers and positive energy during this difficult time.
Love,
The Sanon Family
