My sister lost everything in Hurricane Debby. Her Sarasota, FL home and car were flooded, and very little can be salvaged. All her furniture, clothing, appliances - everything was under over a foot of filthy water. She was not in a flood zone, and did not have insurance. Areas in Sarasota that have never flooded, including her neighborhood, ended up under water with little to no warning. She went to bed in a dry house and woke up to ankle-deep water that eventually rose to over knee-deep in a matter of hours. She had almost no time to try to save anything. She had to be rescued by first responders.

Her house is a total loss. It will likely be demolished.

Every little donation will help her find a new home and recover from this devastating loss. Nothing can bring back her memories or all the family photos, but getting back on her feet in a new home is all she is asking for.
