Help my sister, Diane Miller, learn to say No!
Donation protected
My name is Donna Rummell (Guiles) and I have just spent the last week almost 4 hours from home sitting in a hospital room as my sister struggled to stay alive.
Mom and dad raised all 3 of us kids to be able to take care of ourselves, ask for very little if anything from someone else and to do whatever, whenever possible for those in need.... For the 1st time in my sister's life she is in need.
I am asking that even if you choose not to donate to this fundraiser for her that you would please say a prayer, keep her in your thoughts and send good vibes.
Now I know when I say this next part there's gonna be people out there who are gonna say she deserves it and did it to herself. But, I can tell you after what I watched this last week no one regardless of how they chose to live their life should have to deal with this because no one deserves what I saw.
Until you have been on a ventilator, having massive liters of air forced into your tiny little lungs (because she's only 82 pounds @ 58 years old) Crying out in pain, asking them to stop because it's crushing you... please don't judge.
Diane (Miller) hates people knowing her business and she never wants or asks for help..... But this, this she cannot do alone. And she will probably be upset with me for making this post but she needs to learn to say no. To say no, I'm sorry I would love to help you but I cannot physically do any more than I am doing. I need to put myself 1st for the 1st time in my life because if I don't this is going to kill me.
My sister is currently in a hospital in Binghamton New York Being treated for COPD, a blocked artery, RSV and pneumonia.. And all she can worry about is her 3 dogs and 7 cats at home and her job that she has been at for 30 years.
Her anxiety is through the roof with worry about everyone she promised she would have stuff done for before the holidays and about not taking care of her animals and somebody else being burdened to help her.
If you know my sister at all you know she is the strongest woman I have ever met in my life and I'm sure if you know her well you agree. But my family and friends and all you kind people who took time to read this She will not be able to be strong much longer and this is the time we need to lift her up and carry her through whatever time she has left. To watch her grandchildren grow up and become good people.
Our parents passed away, Dad's been gone 22 years (lung cancer) and Mom 19 years having left us due to COPD. And unless you've been in the clutches of Nicotine you can't understand how bad a person wants to stop but can't..... But for the grace of God my husband and I were able to do it 12 years ago. Pills and patches and hypnotism and meditation and Medication and all those people who want to help by telling her to 'just stop', It's not that easy.
So what I'm asking for is your prayers and thoughts and any little bit that your heart moves you to give to help her get back on her feet once I bring her home. So that she does not have to stress so much about no income coming in until she gets back on track.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I would really appreciate it if you could share it far and wide..... For the woman who needs to learn to say No. May God-bless you in abundance and much love to you all.
