On Wednesday my sister went to her regular weekly appt to receive a special shot that was suppose to help her not go into preterm labor, it was her 28 week check up.  While there the doctor told her that she was in active labor and it was urgent she get to hospital NOW, within minutes of checking in she was rushed into emergency c section because baby was breached and in distress.  She delivered Logan, born at 2 pounds 13 oz they said he seemed to be strong and healthy, breathing on his own.  Because of him being premature, he needed to be flown to Oahu where they have a NICU, due to being air lifted they needed to intubate him, while doing so, holes were punctured in his lungs.  As a mother, not even seeing your baby, getting a phone call like this is heart wrenching.  Even worse because your not able to be there.  My sister must travel, but she must wait until she is medically cleared due to having a c section.  Covid is definitely not making the situation any easier, and they are facing many challenges with who can see him, the amount of time they can spend with him etc... at this point the doctor told my sister to expect him being in the NICU in Oahu for 10 weeks.  The insurance will only pay for one trip back and forth.  I thought I would set this gofundme account for her because they have a long road ahead, and any little bit with airfare, car rentals, and housing would be a huge help.  If you are not able to send a monetary contribution please send all your prayers for their family.
