A message from my sister
Hello,
My name is Hanaa Saeed from Gaza, I am 38 years old, a mother of six children. I have always suffered from a health condition since birth that deprived me of the ability to control my right arm. However, it has never been an obstacle; instead, it has been a driving force for me to persevere and prove that I am a good and capable mother to my children.
My ex- husband left for Brazil just days before the war on Gaza, leaving me with our six children to provide for. I became a divorced woman. He rewarded me after resisting the war for 178 days with his children and attempting to save them from death, oppression, fear, and hunger. He married another woman in Brazil, showing no responsibility towards them or spending on them. Now, I will continue trying to escape with them to a safe place alone as I was before, but with a new title, divorced.I faced many challenges in balancing the responsibilities of caring for my children and maintaining my job as a technical services specialist. Nevertheless, the tremendous responsibility did not deter me from continuing to succeed and meet the needs of my children.
Until that fateful day when our lives were turned upside down and our dreams turned into nightmares with the onset of the war. I lost my home, and I fled with my children to places where the bare essentials of life were lacking. Despite the harsh conditions, I strived to be a mother, father, and protector for my children. We lived outdoors, receiving no assistance. I baked dry bread over the fire, doing my best to provide them with clothing, food, and a safe shelter.
Even now, I haven't been able to secure these necessities due to the difficult circumstances here in Gaza. Every day is a struggle. I only wish for assistance to escape with my children to a place where we can sleep without fear, without worrying about how to fill my children's stomachs or what tomorrow holds—whether I will carry my children in pieces or lose some or all of them. Life here is tough, and I just want to bring them to a place of safety.
My children are crying from hunger, and my attempts to provide food have been in vain.
Before October 7, I was able to provide my children with all what they need.
Now my children lost everything they have, they lost their safety, lost their smile, and I’m scared for them to lose their lives
Help a mother secure safety for her children
We need to leave Gaza and head to Egypt as soon as possible to preserve the lives of the children and the sick mother. The cost of travel and coordination to Egypt is :
$5000 for adults and
$2500 for children under 14 years old.
We need to temporarily go to Egypt so I can resume my online work, then return to Gaza and try to rebuild our home and settle down again.
I also need to go quickly to receive treatment for my arm, which I completely lost control of, and the pain due to severe stress doesn't leave me.
Our lives are filled with joy and happiness. Mohammed and Aisha, twins, 14 years old, Fatima, 11 years old,
Haneen, 7 years old,
Khadija, 4 years old,
and Omar, two years old.
These are my children whom I dream of rescuing and taking them to a safe place.
I'm grateful to you for your assistance, and I know that you are doing everything you can to help me and my children have a better life and to be safe. However, we still need more support and assistance to afford medical treatment for my arm and to provide a safe life for my children. I just want you to continue to donate, even if in small amounts, as it greatly affects us and means a lot to me. You can always share my story with your friends and relatives. Please, as you know the extent of the suffering and pain we are experiencing. Thank you very much. I will never forget this.
Don’t forget us
Hanaa ❤️
