***UPDATE*** Donations are now paused.
We are overwhelmed with gratitude.
Thanks to your incredible generosity and love, within just two days of sharing Zarine’s story, we have received more than enough funds through your support and kindness. There truly are no words to fully express what this means to our family.
At this point, the greatest gift you can offer is your prayers. We are so deeply thankful to our friends, family, and our Zoroastrian community, who showed up with such compassion and strength.
Zarine’s brain surgery, originally scheduled for May 1st, is now being rescheduled, and we are awaiting a new date. She is doing well, staying strong, and we are holding onto hope and positivity every step of the way.
We also kindly ask for your understanding in giving my sister and her husband space during this time. While the support has been overwhelming in the most beautiful way, they are focusing on their work, their family, and maintaining a sense of normalcy—so we ask that you please refrain from calling or messaging them directly about this.
If you feel called to continue supporting, we encourage everyone to donate to FEZANA’s Welfare & Unity Committee so that they can continue to support other Zoroastrians in need (FEZANA.org/donate). You may also consider donating to Zarine’s Clean and Green Foundation for Udvada (cgudvada.com).
And most importantly, please keep spreading awareness about colorectal cancer. If something ever feels off, listen to your body, advocate for yourself, and speak to your doctor about getting checked.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for surrounding us with so much love.

Hi everyone,
I’m creating this fundraiser for my sister, Zarine—someone I can only describe as the most extraordinary human being.
She is the kind of person who lives her life in service to others. Whether it’s through her work co-founding the Clean & Green Udvada initiative, teaching yoga, or simply showing up for anyone in need, she has always given so much of herself to the world.
She is also an incredible mother to four beautiful children, always striving to give them the best life possible.
Recently, she was diagnosed with colorectal cancer—on her 40th birthday.
Since then, she has undergone multiple surgeries, with another one coming up in a few days. Watching someone so full of light face something like this has been deeply painful for our family.
It’s hard for me to put into words everything she’s going through, but what I do know is this: she deserves support, care, and the space to focus on her health and her children.
Funds raised will go directly toward:
Supporting her and her children’s daily needs
Medical-related expenses and recovery
Travel between Canada and India for care and family support
Giving her the ability to create meaningful, peaceful moments with her children during this time
If you’re able to donate, share, or keep her in your thoughts, it would mean more than I can express.
She has spent her entire life giving to others—now it’s our turn to show up for her.
With love and gratitude,
Meher
