Hi, my name is Serenity and I am trying to raise money for my sister, Makiah, and her family. Last night at around 12:00 a.m, my sister and her mom walked out of my sisters room to their whole kitchen on fire. My sisters mom, Barb, did her best to put the fire out and thought she had it, but it started back up again. My sister got out of the house as soon as she left her room, but she still inhaled a lot of the smoke, as you can imagine so did her mom. 

The restoration company came and said that all of their belongings are a total loss andthey don’t have insurance so everything has to be covered by them.

My sister and her mom both have health issues; my sister has a pacemaker and her mom has a defibrillator, my sister has a tracheostomy and has to sleep with a ventilator, she also has to have an oxygen tank or her oxygen concentrator with her at all times. The fire damaged all of their medical supplies, which are pretty darn expensive but necessary for my sister to be able to live.

They have 2 dogs; Fancy and Von, and my sister has a cat; Kitty. The 2 dogs got out of the house safe, but they couldn’t find my sisters cat for a while. When they finally did find him, he was covered in soot, kept passing out, and had a bunch of stuff coming out of his nose and mouth. They took him to the vet, which they found out is going to cost them $800 to get him out. My sisters cat is the most important thing in her life, he has been with her through almost everything, hospital visits, trips to other states for different hospitals. My sister would be heartbroken without her cat.
