Help my sis with terminal cancer fulfill her wish

Hello everyone. I am turning to family, friends, and this community to sincerely request for your support. I desperately need your help to fulfill my sister’s final wish before cancer takes her.

Her final wish: A trip with her 2 boys to New Orleans and Hawaii (the state of choice from each of her boys).

My sister, Petra, is one of the strongest women I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. She’s a devoted mother of 2 awesome boys (ages 14 & 7), an amazing sister, and a friend everyone considers lucky to have.

She’s the best. Period.

The past couple of years have been tough having to deal with the ugly custody battle with the father of her children, but on March of this year, she received the news that topped it all.

Petra was diagnosed with stage 4 mucinous adenocarcinoma of the colon, an extremely rare and aggressive form of colon cancer. In a short time, the cancer has spread from the colon to her lymph nodes, peritoneum (the membrane that lines the cavity of her abdomen and covers all the organs in the abdomen), as well as her ovaries.

Determined to fight, Petra had all the cancer infected organs removed. She began invasive chemo treatments as soon as she was able, and even went to the cancer research center nearest her (as suggested by her doctor), for more testing.

5 months later, the treatments aren’t working and the cancer is spreading like the bastard it is.

The doctors have given her, at best, 3 months left to live.

She may not be here next month, and it’ll be a damn miracle if she beats those odds and is still here with us by the end of this year.

But wait. There’s more. What else could there possibly be you might ask?

On 08/11/23, my sister went to watch her oldest son’s first high school football scrimmage. It was supposed to be an exciting day. Instead, she was served with court papers by her ex’s mother, demanding full custody (instead of the 50/50 custody they currently have) and child support.

Stage 4 terminal cancer, 3 months to live, and now the father of your children are demanding CHILD SUPPORT and full custody.

It’s devastating that I even have to make this request at all, but no person with a limit on their life should ever have to deal with this.

We need you all now more than ever. Please help our family send Petra and her boys on a dream vacation.
