Triple negative breast cancer took my mom

***READ UPDATE**
On May 2021, my world turned upside down. My 38-year-old single mother of two, Muna, was diagnosed with stage 3 triple negative aggressive breast cancer. Every week for 6 months, she went in for chemotherapy treatment which negatively impacted her mentally, physically and emotionally. Instead of shrinking her tumor, it continued to grow. The hospital's only option was to do an urgent mastectomy and then radiation therapy. They had told us after her mastectomy, they did not find cancer cells in her lymph nodes and she had clear margins, meaning there were no cancer cells at the outer edge of tissue that was removed. She then went through 6 weeks of radiation which took a complete toll on her mental health, but we stayed hopeful.
On June 2022, she started losing feeling in her right hand and went to the ER at UofM hospital in desperate need for answers. Signs of cancer spreading in her pancreas, adrenal gland, and spine appeared. She was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic triple negative breast cancer. All while we thought things were getting better, it just kept getting worse. Cancer has lead to her losing complete function of her right hand. According to her doctor, she had brachial plexus, which means her cancer cells started to add pressure and cause damage to her nerves which lead to complete loss of movement in her right arm/hand. She is currently getting gem/carbo infusions once a week and was told by her doctor that in her case, chemo is needed for the rest of her life. After speaking with multiple doctors, there seems to be no guarantee that feeling in her hand will ever come back.
My mom can no longer do simple daily tasks such as working, cooking, cleaning, driving, etc. It hurts to see her like this. We’re raising this money because she no longer has an income and has no financial support. She’s a former bilingual support teacher but can no longer work because of her deteriorating health.
My sister and I would love and appreciate any support in any way possible. Your prayers and any donation will go a long way.
My grandmother Asma Munassar will be in hold of all the funds until my mother travels for treatment, thank you all so much for your kind donations and words.
