Helping my single mother afford an eye
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Mak and I’m trying to help my mother, who was recently diagnosed with cancer, afford a permanent conformer and prosthetic eye.
We can’t afford to provide this quality of life to her right now.
My mom, Heather, is the single mother of 4 of us, currently trying to support her medical bills, her son post- knee surgery, a first generation college student, a rent increase, a small child, and much more. Her recent diagnoses of ocular melanoma came as a shock to us all, and led to the removal of her right eye. The conformer needed goes inside of her socket to hold her skull shape the way it should sit normally. It is financially impossible to imagine the burden of a prosthesis, so I’ve decided to start this fundraiser for her. A prosthetic could cost us anywhere between $2,500 and upward of $8,500+. The recent trips to Boston for the surgery and stitch removal alone cost us $2,000 in hotels and fees. $2,000 would at least put us on a great start to achieving the prosthetic !!
Please help me in supporting my moms recovery. We are asking the community to help us pull through these difficult times by doing what they can. If you can pitch in money, thank you! If you can’t, thank you for reading! Do what YOU can if you can ❤️
No pressure
Every dollar helps
We thank you for reading even, please share. ❤️❤️ Heather deserves to feel ‘normal’ and live a quality life.
