A few weeks ago, I took in a 3-month-old kitten I found on the street. Even though he could barely use one of his legs, he was incredibly sweet and calm from the start. We initially thought he might have a simple dislocation, but the vet confirmed he had a fractured hip that needed surgery for him to walk normally again. The surgery went well, and he began healing beautifully. His personality came out immediately. Playful, affectionate, and always wanting to be close.

This weekend, things changed suddenly. I came home after being gone for a short time and found him unable to move without crying, heavily limping, and hiding because the pain was overwhelming. The vet diagnosed him with a bone infection, a rare but serious complication that can happen after a fracture or surgery. He’s now on antibiotics, pain medication, and strict movement restriction. He’s slowly softening again, but he’s still weak and uncomfortable, and the treatment process is expensive and ongoing. This setback happened so quickly that I wasn’t prepared for the additional medical costs. I’m doing everything I can for him, but I need some help to give him the care he needs to fully recover.

Funds will go directly toward antibiotics and pain medication, follow-up appointments, additional imaging if needed, a safe recovery setup and supplies, and any treatment adjustments if the infection doesn’t improve. He’s a gentle, resilient little kitten who’s already been through more than most animals face in a lifetime. Any support, whether through donating or sharing his story, means so much.
