My name is Ann, I was born in raised in Sudan, but I live in the United States. My family, however, have been living in Sudan for several years, despite economic struggle, and are trapped there amidst the recent war. They, my cousins, uncles, and aunts, cannot afford to leave the country and those of them who have left have no money for food, water, or medicine. Even my parents and siblings, who live in Egypt, are no longer receiving their retirement money due to the Sudanese banks shutting down. I have done my best to support them, but as an elementary school teacher, I cannot afford it. Please donate as much as you are able, any penny counts! I will send the money directly through Western Union to Egypt and individuals in Sudan. Hopefully, my family can use this money to leave the country, pay for rent, food, water, and medicine.
