Help my Queer & Trans friend keep his housing !!!

Hi, I'm starting this GoFundMe for my dear friend and former coworker Kedian Keohan who owes multiple months of back rent. His landlord has threatened to escalate the situation and Kedian faces potential legal repercussions, eviction, and lack of ability to renew his lease if he doesn't pay the full amount. He is too embarrassed to ask for help which is why I've set him up as a beneficiary of this!

Transgender people experience higher rates of long-term housing insecurity and homelessness due to a lack of financial resources. Kedian was previously laid off from his corporate job and has since patchworked income with freelance and contract work. However, he is immunocompromised with chronic illness which impacts and decreases his ability to take on in-person work at the moment.

Kedian applied for emergency assistance through NY State, but most city funding, trans aid, and covid aid programs have reduced capacity at the moment. His freelance paychecks will not be processed until the end of February, and those will not cover the full amount.

Kedian is one of the most incredible and talented human beings I know and is a mainstay in the New York City theater community. He recently associate directed 'Dark and Disabled Stories' at the Public Theater which won multiple OBIES.
