Those who know me know how deeply I love my pets — they’re not just animals to me, they’re family. Since my partner left, things have been financially tight, and now my sweet little Jewel is facing the biggest struggle of her life.

She’s been battling serious health issues for a while, but recently things have taken a heartbreaking turn. Jewel has stopped eating and is rapidly losing weight despite every effort — including being gently force-fed. Our regular vet has done all they can, and now she needs to see a specialist as soon as possible.

The specialist visit alone is $200 just to walk through the door, and that doesn’t include the blood work or diagnostic tests she’ll almost certainly need. I’ve already applied for a loan from my 401K, but it will take a couple of weeks to process — and Jewel can’t wait that long.

I’m doing everything I can, but I can’t do this alone.
