Pastor Lisa Sims is a devoted full-time pastor who has dedicated her life to mentoring, healing , rehabilitating and empowering abused women, men and children in many countries, having herself overcome sexual, emotional and physical abuse both as a child and as an adult. She does this cheerfully along with her other insurmountable pastoral duties. She has also counseled and rehabilitated prisoners and juvenile offenders in jails, prisons and juvenile centers. She receives no salary , lives a very modest life , trusting God to supply her needs.

In 2016, on her return to Florida from a missionary trip abroad, Pastor Lisa became severely ill and was hospitalized several times. At the brink of death, and fighting to live, she endured excruciating pain, severe tremors, loss of balance, extreme weakness , rapid weight loss and other debilitating symptoms. She went from having to hold onto walls to walk, to crawling, and even experiencing temporary paralysis. Hers is a mystery medical illness that the doctors had not been able to fully diagnose. She lost everything and became homeless. In 2018 her illness went into partial remission, and she began to rebuild her life, but continued to experience the same symptoms at a slightly milder degree. However, in 2023 her illness worsened, and her symptoms have significantly increased.

In 2024 Pastor Lisa moved back to Maryland to live and to see a specialist doctor who is conducting extensive medical investigation to find a definitive diagnosis of her medical condition. She has also started a Church in Maryland., Despite being in excruciating pain and suffering, Pastor Lisa has continued to cheerfully mentor, counsel and pray for people and perform her other pastoral duties, often while lying sick in bed.

Pastor Lisa previously purchased a used car in June 2025 which required extensive repairs. In November 2025 , the car broke down on the highway and she had to pull over on the side until help arrived to remove the car. The engine has suffered severe internal damage and is no longer functional. She now has no transportation to get to critical medical appointments, and tests. Pastor Lisa urgently needs a new, reliable car to get to her medical appointments.
