Help my partner during his chemo journey
Donation protected
After many years as a singleton, I met the most wonderful man.
He is incredibly intelligent, kind, civic-minded, well-humored, funny, bike-riding, a great dog dad, loving, and oh so handsome. And he is my boyfriend. ♥️
Recently, he started getting horrible fevers. I got a digital thermometer. We started trying to track them, believing that they were byproducts of his autoimmune disease. Then one night, after we had woken up three times and the temperature read 104°F, I said, let's go to the hospital.
We were at the hospital for about eight hours. He had many, many tests. Then the doctor came in and said: well, I think this just seems like you need to make an appointment with your rheumatologist. He still didn't feel well.
A day later, his sister urged him to go to Cedars. He got to Cedars emergency room on Tuesday and he was admitted on Wednesday. They were incredibly thorough. He had scans and MRIs and gave no less than 50 vials of his blood. After 11 days of every test you can possibly imagine, we finally got the answer: T-cell lymphoma. It's cancer.
I feel like being devastated by this news, but I simply can't afford to. My mind is completely committed to his treatment and recovery. He is strong. I am strong. Together we are going to overcome this health obstacle and then we are going to ride in an awesome cancer research bike ride. (I've got my eye on the one in Lake Tahoe.) I am keeping my entire focus on his HEALING ❤️ and him going into permanent remission.
Right now, I need to be with him, and that doesn't leave much time for work.
(Also, good advice from me: when any of your loved ones are in the hospital, they truly NEED an advocate to be there with them 24/7.)
So, I'm asking for a little help from my friends. I need to be by his side for these first few rounds of chemo. I need to get the funds for homeopathic treatment in tandem with chemo. Any and everything helps to keep the lights on.
I am happy to part with paintings and prints in gratitude for your kind donations. You can see them on my Facebook page.
Thank you for reading and thank you for your help. Even if you aren't able to contribute financially, I will gratefully accept your prayers and shares.
Big love to everyone,
