Help My Partner - Christopher Cook car repossession payment
Donation protected
Hello. My name is Jason and I am currently raising funds for my partner, Christopher Cook. Chris and I are long distance partners. I live in Virginia, he lives in New York, and I am asking for donations on his behalf. Chris's car was repossessed by the bank very recently and only has a few days to pay a lump sum to get it back. He has been extremely diligent in paying his loans, but he's fallen on some hard times recently and has been unable to make payments on time or, if on time, not always meet the minimum. In fact, he only needs to pay $3000 more to pay the car off. However, due to falling behind on 1500 dollars, his car was repossessed, so he needs a lump sum of a little over 2000 dollars to get it back. He needs his car to work and to get groceries and the like, so any donations would be appreciated.
Chris has a master's in English and a bachelor's in teaching. For some time after he graduated, he taught at a local college, and he has told me that many of his students loved him and called him one of his favorite teachers. A couple years ago, he quit his job to help a friend of his with his business. Recently, to make some more cash, he also started a part time job at his local library, a job he loves. Due to the change in jobs, however, he fell on hard times and now struggles with some of his debts. Refinancing is, sadly, not an option. His bank has refused to refinance and other banks won't help him. He is in dire straits.
Chris has two cats, Chino and Olivia. The white one is Chino, the tabby is Olivia. They are his entire world (besides me, I guess). He got both of them when he was still doing his teaching job, so he's never had issue with feeding them before, and I know for a fact that he would put them both before himself, but without a car, doing so would become more difficult. For their sake, if nothing else, I implore you for your help. Chris is... dear to me. He is my light, he is part of the reason I wake up in the morning. The last thing I do before bed is wish him good night, the first thing I do after I wake up is greet him. If I could take away all his troubles, I would, but I can't, so he and I ask you for help, in the hopes that he can continue getting himself out of the hole he is currently in. Thank you.
