Hi, my name is Kristen Brown, and I’m reaching out to you in a time of great loss and hardship. For the last five years, my parents, Deborah Snyder and Eric Snyder, have been dedicated and loving caregivers to my grandmother, Rose. She battled both cancer and dementia during this time, and my parents took on the responsibility of caring for her every single day. Unfortunately, she passed away suddenly when she went into cardiac arrest on January 2, 2025, leaving us devastated and unprepared for the financial burden that now falls on our family.
For the last five years, my parents, my brother (Ryan), and I have been by my grandmother's side, ensuring she was comfortable, cared for, and surrounded by love despite her health challenges. She fought a hard battle with cancer and dementia, and my parents worked tirelessly to manage her care—helping her with daily activities, attending doctor’s appointments, and making sure she felt safe and loved. They did this all while managing their own personal and financial struggles.
Unfortunately, after years of caregiving, my grandmother passed away unexpectedly. She went into cardiac arrest. We are heartbroken by the loss, and the weight of funeral expenses and other immediate costs has been overwhelming.
As if the emotional toll wasn’t enough, the financial burden of caring for my grandmother over these past years has drained our family’s resources. My parents, who were already doing everything they could to provide for her and manage her medical care, now face additional costs that we were not prepared for. The funds we are hoping to raise will go directly towards the funeral and memorial costs for my grandmother, as well as to support my parents during this difficult time as they navigate the aftermath of her passing.
This has been one of the hardest times in our family’s life. Watching my dad give so much of himself to care for my grandmother while managing his own responsibilities was inspiring, but it also came at a cost—emotionally, physically, and financially. The loss of my grandmother is devastating, and my parents are now left trying to cope with grief while facing the practical realities of life after caregiving.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will go a long way toward easing the burden on my parents and our family. It would mean the world to us if you could contribute and/or share our story with others. Your support can make a difference in helping us honor my grandmother's memory and give my parents the chance to grieve, heal, and move forward.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story. We understand that times are hard for everyone, but any help you can offer—whether financial or by sharing this campaign with others—would be deeply appreciated. Your support is a light in our darkest moments.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We are grateful for anything you can do to help.
