My brother Trey and I are asking our friends and family to help our parents, William and Jan Wright, as they go through the hardest time of their lives. My parents were displaced after Hurricane Michael in October of 2018. Last year they were finally getting back on their feet and then my dad contracted COVID in October. He was in the hospital for 13 days and was finally released with news that he would have a very long recovery. Those who know my dad know he has always been a very strong man. It is hard to see him so weak and on oxygen 24/7 because this virus has caused havoc on his lungs and heart. Due to his medical issues he cannot work. He can’t even do simple tasks we all take for granted like taking a shower without getting fatigued and worn out. Now my parents have gone from a two income household to one and my dad no longer has medical insurance. My brother and I have helped to keep a roof over my parents head and food on their table, but we need help; my parents need help. My dad has applied for disability (he did this as soon as he got out of the hospital), but they are saying it will be around April before it will even go through. With half the income and no medical insurance, the bills continue to pile up. We hope you will help. If you can help in any way, it will be greatly appreciated.
