Help My Parents Start Over - Tornado Devastation in Tongaat

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and an urgent plea for help. My Parent's home, which they were renting in Tongaat, South Africa, was completely destroyed by a devastating tornado on the 3rd June 2024. This unforeseen disaster has left them without a roof over their head and with very few belongings.

Tongaat, struck by a powerful tornado. The destruction left in its wake has been heartbreaking, affecting numerous families and among the hardest hit was my Parent's rented home, which was completely destroyed. The loss is profound and deeply emotional. Despite the significant damage, we are incredibly grateful to have emerged with minor physical injuries. However, the road to recovery is daunting.

As a tenant, my father did not have insurance to cover such catastrophic events, and now he faces the daunting challenge of rebuilding their lives from scratch.

Their vehicle was severely damaged in the wreckage of the Tornado too and is a complete write off.

We are seeking to raise funds to help cover:

*Temporary housing and essential living expenses

*Securing a new rental property

*Replacement of lost personal belongings and household items

*Covering day-to-day necessities (food, clothing, etc.)

*Loss of Income while they pick up the pieces
