Hi everyone,
My parents’, Janella Charfauros and Ryan Manglona, home on the island of Rota in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) was severely damaged by Typhoon Bavi, a Category 5 tropical cyclone. The powerful winds tore off much of their roof, allowing heavy rain to pour into their home. Several rooms are now flooded, and much of the food they had stored was ruined by the water.
In just a matter of hours, they went from feeling safe in their home to facing extensive damage and an uncertain road ahead. They are now trying to clean up, prevent further damage, and figure out how they will afford the repairs needed to make their home safe and livable again.
I’m asking for help on their behalf because they would never ask for it themselves. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward:
* Repairing and replacing their roof
* Cleaning up and repairing the water damage inside their home
* Replacing damaged food and other essential household items
* Purchasing building materials and supplies needed to begin rebuilding
* Covering other immediate expenses as they recover
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with your family, friends, and community would mean just as much. Every share helps us reach more people who may be able to help.
Our family is incredibly grateful for every donation, every share, and every prayer during this difficult time. Your kindness will help my parents rebuild not only their home but also their sense of security after this devastating storm.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion and support.
With gratitude,
Fatima Charfauros
