My parents worked their entire lives with one dream in mind: to finally purchase a home in New York City. They saved every dollar they could, sacrificing vacations, extras, and comforts so they could put down a deposit and secure a place of their own. In May 2025, that dream was shattered. My parents were victims of a devastating scam that stole their entire down payment. This was not extra money. This was everything they had saved over a lifetime. Since the incident, we have been waiting for answers from the District Attorney’s office, but progress has been slow. In the meantime, the emotional toll has been overwhelming. My parents have fallen into deep depression and have been forced to move in with their daughter because they no longer have the financial means to support themselves or pursue legal action on their own.

We are asking for help so we can hire a private attorney to fight on their behalf, push this case forward, and hopefully recover what was stolen from them. Legal representation is our best chance at justice, but the cost is something our family simply cannot afford alone. Any donation — no matter the amount — will go directly toward legal fees and related expenses. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would mean just as much.

Thank you for taking the time to read my parents’ story, for your kindness, and for helping us restore hope to a family that lost everything they worked for.
