Hi, my name is Tim, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my mom and dad, who lost everything in the devastating flood that hit Monterey, Kentucky last week.
The floodwaters rose faster than anyone expected—leaving them with no time to pack, no time to prepare, and sadly, no flood insurance to fall back on. Their home, belongings, and everything they’ve worked for over the years was swallowed by the flood. The damage is total. It’s heartbreaking to see the house I grew up in, now underwater.
Back in February, they narrowly dodged the rising water, but this time they weren’t as lucky. This is the worst flooding Monterey has seen since 1997—and I remember that one because I was just 10 years old at the time. I felt helpless then, but now that I’m grown, I refuse to stand by and do nothing.
My parents have always been the kind to help others, even when they had little to give. But now, they’re the ones in need. Financially, they will never be able to rebuild on their own. That’s why I’m asking for your help. Whether it’s $5, $50, or just a share—every bit matters.
All funds raised will go directly to them to replace essential items, find temporary housing, and begin the long road toward rebuilding their lives.
Thank you for reading and for supporting two people who mean the world to me.
