Help My Parents Rebuild After Losing Everything in a House Fire

On Friday, May 30th, my parents lost everything in a devastating house fire that destroyed the home I grew up in. The house—a place filled with love, memories, and decades of hard work—was completely consumed by the flames. Thankfully, they are safe. But their lives have been turned upside down, and they are now faced with starting over from nothing.

If you know my parents, you know they’ve spent their lives helping others—quietly and without asking for anything in return. Whether it was offering a place to stay, stepping in during someone else's crisis, or showing up with kindness and generosity, they’ve always been the ones others could count on. Now, it’s their turn to receive the kind of care and support they’ve so freely given.

They have insurance, but as many know all too well, insurance rarely covers the full cost of rebuilding a life—especially after a total loss. Replacing even the basics—clothing, documents, furniture, appliances, sentimental items, and temporary housing—adds up quickly. And beyond the material losses, there's a long and emotional road ahead.

This GoFundMe is my way of helping them through both the immediate shock and the long-term recovery. They don’t yet know I’m creating this—because asking for help isn’t in their nature. But I do know that rebuilding from something like this takes a village.

Every donation, large or small, will go directly toward helping them rebuild their lives with dignity, comfort, and the peace of mind that they’re not doing it alone.
