Help my parents rebuild after devastating floods

Hello, my name is Lili, and I am reaching out to ask for help for my parents, who have lost everything in the recent devastating floods in the Czech Republic.

This weekend, the house I grew up in disappeared under more than 2 meters of water. Even the most extreme forecasts could not have predicted such a catastrophic event. My parents were able to evacuate in time with their two cats, but they had to leave almost everything behind. All that remains are a few precious photo albums—everything else has been destroyed.

Now that the waters have receded, the reality is heartbreaking. There is nothing left to save. The house itself has suffered severe damage—floors ripped apart, walls soaked, the structure weakened.

Rebuilding will take time and more money than they can afford. It will be spring 2025 at the earliest before their house is even livable again. I feel powerless watching them face this enormous burden, and that’s why I’m turning to the kindness of others.
