My parents are the kindest and most loving people I have ever known. They were truly happy in their small but beautiful home at 2739/2741 Sterling Street in Fort Wayne — a place filled with memories, warmth, and over 20 years of hard work and dedication.
Tragically, near midnight this past Thursday, a devastating fire destroyed their home completely.
The pain we are experiencing is beyond words. In this heartbreaking tragedy, the world lost a little angel — sweet Briella, the daughter of Mariah. No words can truly describe the sorrow of this loss.
By the grace of God and the strength He gave my father, he was able to rescue Mariah from the flames. Because of his bravery, we are only mourning the loss of precious Briella, and not more lives.
My parents have always been generous, selfless, and brave. But even the best people are not immune to tragedy. In a matter of minutes, they lost everything — their home, their belongings, and the place that held more than two decades of their lives.
They are now starting from zero.
Today, I humbly ask for your help. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help my parents begin to rebuild and recover from this unimaginable loss. Donations will go toward temporary housing, basic necessities, and rebuilding what was lost.
We are deeply grateful to the neighbors and first responders who supported us that terrible night. Your kindness means more than words can express.
Thank you for standing with our family during this painful time.
