Hi and thanks for taking the time to visit my page and read my story! My name is Felix and I'm looking to raise £1500 to take my start up home delivery service to the next level-to be a successful, profitable and sustainable business.
Like many others recently, I lost my job as a freelance HGV driver in the tv/film industry at the end of February due to the Coronovirus. Having worked as an HGV driver in haulage and logistics for the best part of a decade I knew that it was time to start up for myself, I knew I could offer a better level of service at a fairer price than most of my competition.
I'd been planning on starting a 'man and a van' service for several years so I decided to sell my last asset, my car, and buy a van. Having the correct insurance is essential to a legitimate enterprise like this, I can't move forwards without it. In order to do that I need the correct insurance: Carriage of Goods for Hire and Reward, and Goods in Transit insurance. With this insurance in place I can bid/quote on several mainstream online platforms and increase my revenue streams, in addition the access to these platforms would lead to higher paying jobs, also increasing profitability.
The last 3 months have been very hard work but has been successful in terms of proving there is a market for a high class, personal, home delivery service. Starting up for myself has been so rewarding; having to think about marketing, generating leads and sales, negotiating on quotes, as well as actually going out and driving 1500 miles a week has been a lifeline to me. Your contribution would massively help me get my start up to a place where it's a viable, positive business.
