On the night of July 4th, while many were celebrating with fireworks, tragedy struck my niece’s life. While she was working a late shift, she received a call that her apartment was on fire due to fireworks gone wrong. Thankfully, her roommate was home at the time and was able to get out safely with their two dogs.
While only half of the apartment was directly affected by the flames, firefighters had to remove the roof to stop the fire from spreading, which resulted in severe water damage throughout the unit. Nearly all of their belongings were ruined.
She is now left trying to recover and rebuild from this unexpected disaster. We’re asking for any help you can offer – no amount is too small. Your support will go toward essentials like temporary housing, hygiene products, pet supplies & food, and replacing what was lost.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness and generosity.
