I have a niece who suffered a stroke because she didn't take her medication. She has heart problems, and due to mistakenly forgetting to take her medicine, blood clots formed and traveled to her brain. Apparently, she may need surgery, but for the moment, we are waiting to see how her condition progresses, according to the doctor. She is currently hospitalized and will be there for several months, including for physical therapy, as she is currently unable to move her right foot and hand.
