Hi, my name is Raquel, and I'm fundraising for my 18 year old niece who has been battling major depression since elementary school. She has been in talk therapy since the 6th grade. Most recently, she is receiving eskatmine treatment since December, was hospitalized twice and completed 2.5 IOPs with minimal improvement to her depression. I have personally seen her lose hope and that is not okay. After trying just about everything to keep her hope alive, my sister is urgently seeking to place her in a Philadelphia clinical study in which she will receive advanced treatment (a study on the effects of L-dlPFC activation through iTBS in refractory depression trials for patients who are treatment resistant like my niece) in a trial that is promising and is being fast tracked for FDA approval by the end of this year. However, my family cannot wait that long. We're hoping to raise enough funds to pay for the treatment out of pocket so that my niece can begin to have hope for the full future that lies ahead of her. Your donation will help the family with the cost of the treatment, travel to and from the treatment out of state, and accrued medical bills since her summer hospitalizations.
