My sweet eight-year-old niece was recently diagnosed with alopecia areata, an autoimmune condition that causes sudden hair loss. As you can imagine, this has been an emotional journey for her. At such a young age, she is already navigating questions from friends, changes in her appearance, and the difficult feelings that come with looking different from her peers.

One thing that would make a world of difference for her is a high-quality hairpiece. Having this would give her the chance to feel confident and comfortable again—whether she’s at school, at activities, or just being her playful, carefree self. Unfortunately, these hairpieces can be very costly, and it’s not something our family can afford right now.
