Hi. My name is Deanna and I’m starting this fundraiser for my mother, Dee Dee. My dad passed away this past summer and left behind a home on their property. During the winter storms in January, the pipes froze and caused a huge water leak. Because the house was unoccupied, (therefore without heat) insurance won’t cover any of the damage. My mom has no income right now as she’s waiting on the VA to finalize paperwork since my dad’s death. They were told that the home would have to be completely gutted and rebuilt or bulldozed down. They don’t have the funds to rebuild but the estimate to bulldoze was around $8000. The water bill they received was $1500 and they have rented a dumpster for $500 already to throw away all the electronics and furniture destroyed in the leak. Carpets, wood floors, drywall- all unsalvageable. My mom would never ask anyone for help which is why I’ve turned to gofundme. If you know my mother, you know she has helped out so many people in our community. This would be such a blessing for her if our community could come together and lend a hand to her!
