My nephew, Mr. Srinivas (49 years old), is now in the fight of his life. What first appeared to be dengue fever quickly took a devastating turn. His health worsened rapidly, and doctors have since diagnosed him with a severe and rare condition called Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), Miller Fisher variant.

He is currently admitted to the ICU at Apollo Hospitals, on ventilator support, receiving IVIg treatment, and doctors are preparing for a tracheostomy to assist with long-term breathing support. He is semi-conscious and requires continuous monitoring and advanced neurological care.

Srinivas has always been the sole earner for his family. He is a devoted father to two very young children — 5-year-old twins, a boy and a girl. Ever since his father passed away a few years ago, Srinivas has shouldered the entire responsibility of caring for his family. He had already spent most of his savings on his late father’s care, and this sudden medical crisis has left his family completely overwhelmed, both emotionally and financially.

The ICU bills, ventilator care, medications, and specialized treatment are extremely expensive and rise steeply every single day. Without outside support, it will be impossible for the family to continue this fight alone.
