My mum Irena has Age Related Macular Degeneration (AMD). The condition affects the middle part of her vision so she cannot read and perform daily tasks such as going to the shop or cooking. Her condition is deteriorating and she cannot get the treatments on the polish  health service. She needs eye injections to slow down the progress of the condition before it makes it impossible for her to see.  If the condition continues to deteriorate she won't be able to look after herself.
The funds raised will help us buy the eye injections, which are priced at £500 each.
