Help our mum Tania, live with Cancer

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I am reaching out on behalf of our beloved mum - Tania, a strong and loving woman who has dedicated her life to helping others and standing up for what she believes in.

Tania’s first diagnosis came in August 2021, a moment that changed her life forever. True to her beliefs, she chose to take the alternative medicine route, focusing on treatments that resonated with her values and personal approach to healing. She bravely self-funded all of her treatments, including a mastectomy in Germany september 2022, in hopes of overcoming the disease and living a full, healthy life. Her courage and determination during this time were nothing short of inspiring.

Devastatingly, Tania’s cancer has returned, and this time, it is secondary breast cancer which has spread to her lymphatic system, lungs, liver & skin —a diagnosis that comes with even greater challenges. This shattering news has turned our world upside down, not just emotionally and physically, but also financially. This has left her unable to work due to the impact of her illness taking a painful, physical toll - the tumors have caused multiple bloodcots leaving her unable to use her arm or even sit up which has forced her to stop work completely aswell as care for herself. With her being self employed, no insurance in place and unable to claim benefits to cover her outgoings this exasperates the situation more and adds further financial & emotional strain.

Chemotherapy and radiotherapy are planned to begin as soon as her pain is somewhat controlled, hopefully very soon.

While she remains steadfast in her journey, the financial burden of her treatments, both past and present, has left her struggling to keep her home and make ends meet.

Tania has poured every ounce of her resources into fighting this battle, but now she needs our help. The stress of trying to keep her home, pay for utilities, and simply put food on the table has taken a toll on her mental well-being at a time when she needs all of her energy to persevere.

Our mum has always been fiercely independent, and it is very hard for her to ask for help. But as her family, we are unsure of what else to do. We cannot stand by while she endures this challenge alone. That’s why we are reaching out to you, our friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers for support.

This GoFundMe has been created to help Tania with:

• mortgage payments and utility bills, ensuring she can keep her home, a safe and stable space during this critical time.

• Day-to-day living expenses, including groceries and transportation costs.

• Uncovered medical expenses, including alternative treatments abroad and medications that are vital for her quality of life.

Tania’s unwavering strength and determination have always been an inspiration to everyone around her. She has selflessly cared for others, and now it’s our chance to give back and show her that she is not alone in this journey.
