Recently, my mum lost everything due to severe flooding that swept through her home and farm. The damage has been absolutely devastating — from clothes and shoes to essential household technology, furniture, and personal belongings. Even more heartbreaking, she also lost her beloved livestock and farm animals, which were not just a source of livelihood, but part of our family.

Like many others, she was unable to afford flood insurance due to the skyrocketing costs in recent years. The rising premiums made it impossible to keep up, and now, with nothing left and no insurance safety net, she's facing the unimaginable.

My mum is the strongest person I know. She's spent her life working hard, and building a life she was proud of. Now she’s left with nothing but mud, heartbreak, and uncertainty.
