Just before Christmas on the 20th of December 2020 our beloved mum/grandma fell poorly.
After being sent home with gallstones and jaundice, they decided to perform an ultrasound scan. She had a bag inserted, through her stomach to help remove the bile in her body.
After a CT scan a tumour was spotted in the pancreas (6 years after her mother passed away with pancreatic cancer).
A stent has been inserted to help a blockage that one of the tumours is causing.
Three biopsy procedures have been taken so far.
From here, two tumours have now been found in the pancreas and one in the liver. Our world fell apart when the consultant told us he can't operate and now time is precious.
Chemotherapy is being put into place after 8 long weeks and if she takes to it, our only option is to get our mum to Germany as the operation is not available in the UK.
Her only dream was to watch her grandchildren grow up and go on a small holiday with her family in a campervan, to see some of the UK's beautiful countryside.
We are hoping to make this happen if she is strong enough to go.
If we don't succeed in getting her to Germany, donations will be given to charity to help other families in these heartbreaking situations.
