Help my mum get back to Australia

Im raising money for my mum to travel from New Zealand to Australia to be here for her best friends funeral.

In less than a year, my mum has lost her dad and her two best friends.

She has traveled to and from Aussie to be here each time for her dad, to see her best mate Jono before he passed, to be here for the birth of her new grandchild- and now she needs to come back to say goodbye to her lifelong friend, Tracey.

She hasn’t been able to financially recover from her previous travels yet as she only receives disability pension and we all know how hard the cost of living is these days.

With 3 young kids and having to pay for our own travel expenses as well as Christmas being around the corner, we can’t help her much.

When you receive benefits, you’re only allowed to leave the country for 28 days a year- or they stop your payments. Mum has obviously used up all of her days in the 12 month time frame, so this time she will have to reapply for benefits when she goes home. This could take weeks- and so I have made a goal of $2000 to cover the costs of plane tickets and hopefully give her enough to get by for a little while when she goes back home.

I wish I could help my mum myself, I hate to ask my friends for money- and I know how hard it is for us all. But if you can spare anything- we would be forever grateful.
