Help My Mum Get Life-Saving Surgery for Pancreatic Cancer
My mum is the strongest person I know. A single mother, she has spent her life taking care of others—raising me and my younger siblings with so much love, despite facing unimaginable hardships. Now, she is the one who needs help.
Just months ago, she was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer. The NHS told us there was no hope, that surgery wasn’t an option, and that we should prepare for the worst. But they never even let her speak to a surgeon—they deemed her inoperable without giving her a real chance.
We refused to accept that. After searching for second opinions, we found Professor Markus Büchler, one of the world’s leading pancreatic surgeons at the Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon (link to Champalimaud website). Unlike the NHS, he actually reviewed her case in depth and believes surgery is possible. This operation is her only chance at survival.
She doesn’t deserve this. She has already suffered so much. On top of chronic health issues, she’s always carried the weight of the world on her shoulders. Despite it all, she’s remained selfless and devoted to her family. My younger siblings, just 14 and 16, still need their mum. I still need my mum.
This surgery is her only hope—and while we’re doing everything we can to make it happen, it’s a huge financial stretch. Any donation, no matter how small, would help ease the burden and bring us closer to giving her the fighting chance she deserves. If you can’t donate, please share. Time is not on our side, and I’m desperate to keep her here with us.
