My name is Mia Zoukis, and I’m fundraising for my mum, Effie Zoukis.

My mum is currently fighting the hardest battle of her life cancer. She is a loving, caring and strong woman who means absolutely everything to me and our family. Watching someone you love fight for their life is something I never imagined I would have to experience, and it has completely changed our lives.

We are now trying to raise money to give my mum the best possible chance at continuing her fight. There is treatment available overseas that may give her another opportunity to fight this horrible disease, but the cost of travelling overseas, receiving treatment and covering the expenses that come with it is far beyond what our family can afford on our own.

We are asking for your help so that my mum can access the treatment she needs and have the opportunity to keep fighting. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will go towards helping cover the costs of her overseas treatment, travel, accommodation and medical expenses.

My mum deserves the chance to keep fighting. She deserves more time with her family, more memories, more birthdays, more Christmases, and more moments that we haven’t had the chance to experience yet.

I know times are difficult for everyone, and I completely understand that not everyone is in a position to donate. Even sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family or on social media would mean more to us than I can put into words.
